TRYOUTS:
Dates: Tuesday, August 1 - Thursday, August 3

Location & Time:
Purple Gym at JMMS
8th Grade - 7:45-10:00
7th Grade - 10:15-12:30

Items to Bring: Completed physical, water bottle
-Physical forms may be downloaded from the JMMS athletic website or Mrs. Dannug's website.  Girls MUST have a physical to participate!

What to Wear: Clothing that will be comfortable to be active in (i.e. shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes, knee pads if available)
-Wear a t-shirt with your name on the front and back - can be taped on

Practices: Teams will be announced on August 3.  Girls who make a team will continue to practice weekdays Friday, August 4 through mid October with matches on weeknights and a few Saturdays, especially at the end of October.  There is a pay to participate fee ($75) and a uniform fee (about $45) - girls keep their uniforms.

Also, please be aware that there is a MANDATORY meeting on MONDAY, AUGUST 7 at 6:00 pm in the choir room if your daughter makes a team.  Please arrange for your daughter and at least one parent/guardian to attend this meeting.

By playing on a team, the girls' must be committed to the sport.  We expect our players to be on time and at every practice.  Please make arrangements to be at tryouts; it is extremely important to be there!  RARE exceptions are made for extenuating circumstances.

OPEN GYMS:
What: Several open gyms will be available to practice volleyball skills during the summer.  A middle school coach will be present at each open gym.  It is not mandatory to attend, but it may be beneficial to attend as many as possible.

Dates: Tuesday, July 18; Thursday, July 20; Tuesday, July 25; Thursday, July 27

Location: Gold Gym at JMMS

Time: 5:00 - 6:30pm

NST:
The JHS volleyball coaches have invited our middle school players to attend the NST sessions if they are interested.

The NST program is designed for high school teams to complete conditioning exercises.  While the middle school players are invited to attend, the middle school coaches aren't involved in this program in any way.

We understand that this is a bigger time and monetary commitment than many middle school players are ready to make.  However, the program will certainly be beneficial to any girls who are interested!
